Since time immemorial, mankind has used the passage of time as an essential manner of orientation.

Even the earliest cultures had timepieces. The invention of mechanical gears in the Middle Ages led to the first tower clocks in European cities. These types of mechanical clocks became increasingly practical when they were reduced to a size that could be put into a pocket or tied around the arm. Today, watches and clocks inspire a huge collectors’ community. Our pieces mostly come from household liquidations and special collections. In some cases, they have been in the possession of the same family for several generations.
In addition to the big Swiss brands, anonymous brands often come under the hammer at affordable prices. Amongst them are fine gold and silver pocket watches from the 18th and 19th century. In the first half of the 20th century, wrist timepieces became very popular. We always have extraordinary objects and rarities in all price ranges.
