In front of the audience that is looking for it

Our results show that an international audience finds its way to Zofingen: Cy Twombly’s «Delian Ode 43» was knocked down at the Autumn Auction 2022 for CHF 240,000, Andy Warhol’s 1975 screenprint «Mick Jagger» for CHF 65,000, his «Campbell’s Soup I» for CHF 28,000. Bernard Buffet’s still life with pistol of 1950, a major work of Miserabilism, fetched CHF 46,000, as much as Fikret Mualla’s «Sortie de restaurant». Besides paintings, we accept editions and prints, screenprints, lithographs and etchings, as well as drawings and sculpture of the modern and contemporary periods. European painting of the 19th century is at home here too, from Romanticism to the Munich school: Franz Ludwig Catel’s «View from the Window», painted around 1820, fetched CHF 70,000 at the Autumn Auction 2023.
