Would you like to bid?
Did you find interesting objects in our catalog that you would like to buy? All the lots, i.e. objects, in the current catalog can be purchased during the auction. The exact dates and times of sale of each object can be found in our online catalog.
How to Bid
Live in the Auction House
You have the opportunity to follow the excitement of an auction live in the auction room and place your bids in person. For this purpose, we ask you to register at the reception desk in the auction house for a bidder’s number approx. 30 minutes before the auction of your (first) desired object. If you are a new customer and would like to bid, please have a current identity card ready.

Written Bid
The auctions are professionally filmed and streamed live on the internet.
We turn your living or living room into an auction house!
Fall of the hammer
All objects are auctioned to the highest bidder. The asking price of the object is normally 20% below the estimated price stated in the catalog. All interested buyers can now bid in 10% increments of the current bid until the auctioneer awards the object to the highest bidder at the hammer price.
Your Costs
In addition to the hammer price, we charge you a surcharge of 23 % of the hammer price. On this surcharge, as well as on further services on our part (packing, dispatch, export declarations etc.) a value added tax (VAT) of 8.1 % is also due (in the case of a hammer price of CHF 100.00, this is a surcharge of CHF 23.00 plus VAT of CHF 1.85. You will therefore be charged a total of CHF 124.85).
Payment and collection
During the auction you can pay for your items at the cash desk and take them with you. Payment at the auction house is only possible in cash and in Swiss Francs (CHF). EC- and credit cards as well as cheques are not accepted. Within walking distance of the auction house are various banks (UBS, Raifeisenbank, Aargauische Kantonalbank, Credit Suisse, Neue Aargauer Bank, Post), where you can withdraw or exchange cash. During the following days, all objects must be paid for and collected. Payment can be made either in cash at the auction house or by bank transfer in CHF with fees at your expense. No other payment methods such as credit cards or PayPal are accepted. The collection is only possible after receipt of payment on our account. If your auctioned items are a large number of lots or very large objects, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance to avoid longer waiting times.
We are happy to assist you with the professional packing of your objects, but we ask you to bring suitable packing material such as boxes, folders, bags or blankets and, above all, a sufficiently large vehicle. Plastic bags will be charged CHF 1.00 per piece. All proceeds will go to the ONE earth ONE ocean association, which is committed to cleaning up the world’s oceans.
Shipping
If it is not possible for you to pick up your items in person at the auction house, please inform us in advance. Your auctioned items can also be sent by mail. However, we reserve the right not to ship certain items due to their price, fragility or size. The price for shipping is calculated from the cost of postage and packing and will be charged within Switzerland with at least CHF 30.00 and abroad with at least CHF 60.00. As an inexpensive and safe transport option, we recommend the company Matthias Fegers Service für Kunst und Handel in Lüneburg (Germany), which offers Europe-wide collective transport.
Post Sale
In the two weeks following the auction, in addition to the collection, the so-called aftersale takes place in the auction house. All unsold items can be purchased at the exclamation price (approx. 20% below the estimated price).
