Who we are
About us
Auktionshaus Zofingen was founded in 1989 and has spent more than three decades earning its place in the Swiss auction market. Since 2021 the house has been run by Elia Himmelreich and Sander Jongbloed, who took it over from its founders and have given it new momentum. We hold two auctions a year, with a catalogue that ranges from important works of art to the curiosities that make an auction worth attending. Our clients come from near and far, and there is always a way to take part, whether live in our saleroom in Zofingen or from wherever in the world you happen to be. Buying or selling, that is what we are here for.

At our international auctions in spring and autumn, we sell the art and valuables entrusted to us to the highest bidder — entire collections and individual items. All items are appraised and catalogued by our specialists; the estimate and a confidential reserve are set together with you.
We value individual items and entire collections — for insurance, tax, inheritance and asset-management purposes. These written valuations are a paid service; valuations for a possible consignment remain complimentary.
We advise heirs and executors on dividing and winding up estates — with over 35 years of experience.
On request, we present special properties and collections in their original setting: preview and auction take place on site, accompanied by a dedicated collection catalogue.
On behalf of our clients, we research authenticity, attribution, provenance and market situation of individual works of art.
